Welcome to Drumcharry, comfortable, spacious, self-catering accomodation. Conveniently situated in the township of Lochmaddy, the main ferry terminal on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
North Uist is famous for it's amazing landscape and incredible beaches. A huge variety of wildlife and birds both visiting and indiginous. A haven for those who love the outdoors and also for the less active who want guaranteed peace and quiet.
Ground floor: Large, new breakfasting kitchen with Rayburn and lovely views to the Harris hills; Lounge with satellite TV and DVD player; Dining room; Double and twin bedrooms; Family bathroom; Separate WC; Front and rear porches.
First floor: Family room with double and single beds; Single bedroom with lovely views to the twin peaks of North and South Lee; Large room great for storing bags and airing laundry as it houses large linen cupboard and hot water tank.
Large secure garden with drying green to the rear, small garden to the front. Ample parking.
The 'Old House', once the family home, houses recycling bins but with ample room for the storage of bikes etc. Wind breaks and games for the beach in here.There's also another large empty shed that can accomodate even the largest of kayaks.
Good quality linens and towels are supplied but if you wouldn't mind suppling your own towels for the beach that would be great.
We don't allow smoking in any part of the house but there are plenty of sheltered spots in the garden.
Our weekly let runs from Saturday to Saturday with prices from £350 per week to £495 during the summer months. I'm afraid that we can't do short breaks during the late spring and summer months of May, June, July and August but any other time we'll try and accomodate you.
